Country Profile…

Since February 24, 2022, a nationwide State of Emergency and Martial Law has been in effect in Ukraine. A Notice to Air Missions (NOTAM) has been issued prohibiting civilian flights into, out of, within, or over Ukraine. Entrance and Exit of foreign citizens is allowed. Border Crossing Points in Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Moldova are currently open.

Attacks against major cities, including Kyiv, are frequent. Several regions in the East and South of the country are currently under Russian control. There is an increased risk to life and health.

If you do travel to Ukraine, it is important that you understand the risks, take significant measures to mitigate those risks, and ensure you have appropriate travel insurance that is valid in Ukraine, including war risk cover, for local treatment and/or unexpected medical evacuation.
